Hate the Essie formula - so watery and a bit streaky - but LOVE Mink Muffs. Another to add to my ever expanding arsenal of browns. Not hugely exciting but looks neat and chic on the nails - will be a good workpolish I think. Pictured with Nails Inc top and base coats.
Reminds me a bit of You Don't Know Jacques. I've always loved Essie's formula. Have you ever tried Essie's other colors?
ReplyDeleteLove that nail colour, a bit of a warmer alternative to my favorite dirty purples.
ReplyDeleteHi Smiley13tree
ReplyDeleteYes I think it is quite similar to YDKJ, also possible parallels with Chanel's new spring colour Particuliere.
I've got quite a few Essie polishes but I find the formula really hard to work with as I find it really thin and takes ages to set. But I perservere as I love some of their colours. I'll be reviewing Mint Candy Apple, Angora Cardie and Sag Harbor soon and I also have a review of Sexy Divide somewhere on this blog. Do you have any favourite Essie colours?
I hate the entire Autumn collection from Essie and I liked only 2 of their nail polish: Midnight Cami and Angora Cardi...:) the others had a watery texture and the chip very fast. It would be nice to be able to put my name and site url when I comm, like the other blogspot blogs have. Strange that this option is not here, cause I don't like to comment using my Google account
ReplyDeleteHi Lavinia
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment. i always get seduced by essie shades but always end up dissapointed in the formula. i tried mint candy apple and it ended up a streaky mess, the worst i've ever applied!
re the comments, i'm not much of a techie when it comes to blogging, but i will look into this for you. if you know how i can do it easily please let me know, i'd hate to think i was deterring people from commenting!
